The universal flow thru element is the most common heater element in use today. If you have a straight stainless steel manifold with union nuts on each end, this is the element that fits it. Available in 4500 or 5500 watt versions. 5500 watt version is normally used on spas with 50 Amp (230V) or 20 Amp (115V) circuit breakers. If your spa is running on 230V power, and has a digital control system with small heater relays mounted on the PC board, then it is HIGHLY recommended to install a 4-4.5KW element instead of the 5.5KW version because it will reduce significantly the contact loading on the relays, and can help extend the life of your control board. Generally, the only difference you will notice is a slightly longer time to heat up the spa water initially.
Measurements of this heater element are as follows The element connections are 1.25 across on center, the length is approximately 9.5 to 10 inches.

This spa/hot tub heater element will replace virtually all elements in the following applications:

Applied Computer Controls (ACC), ASI Class Act, Balboa Instruments, Gecko Electronic, MEI, Spa Builders Systems, RMF Heaters.. many more.. All of the elements in the following spa manufacturers using standard 2" stainless steel heater tubes/manifolds with a removeable flow-thru element:

Alps, Cal Spas, Caldera, Coleman, Down East, Dynasty, Hawkeye, Leisure Bay, Nordic Tubs; just a small selection, there are many more applicable brands of spas and hot tubs not listed...

2" x 15" Flow-Through heater assembly. The 15 inch flow thru heater manifold is used on many spa control systems. The one shown has a 1/8th inch npt pressure tap for the pressure switch located to the right of the element leads and a shielded Thermowell indent for mounting the thermostat and high limit sensing bulbs inline with the leads as well. Includes heater element rated at 230 Volts / 5500 Watts, Includes new 2" unions and O-ring gaskets. This will be your heater if you have a Brett non digital, hydroquip, Pinnacle, or Hurricane Pak

The split nut is a fantastic way to fix a broken female union "nut" without having to replumb a new union onto your pipe! In the spa biz, union connections are used on many components. They are commonly found on stainless heaters, pump connections and sometimes filters and valves. Measuring what size nut you need is a little confusing!The size DOES NOT CONFORM TO YOUR ACTUAL PVC PIPE SIZE!!!!! The easy way is to MEASURE ACROSS THE MALE THREADS of the connecting "buttress" fitting as follows:
Dimensions:

1.5" PVC union threads will measure 2 3/8 to 2 1/2" across. The opening on the pipe side is 1 15/16". 400-5491, 415-4021

2.0" PVC union threads are 3 to 3 1/16" across. the pipe side opening is 2 5/16". 400-5421, 415-5201

Pipe side openings can be trimmed with a jig or coping saw to allow for slightly larger pipe size.
PLEASE NOTE If you have a hayward brand or Jacuzzi brand pump, these union nuts will not fit! Both Jacuzzi and Hayward use specific union threads that are not compatable with the split nuts above.

News flash!!! The 58028 has been replaced by the 53349 heater. Complete replacement assembly for Jacuzzi systems. If your board has software version R-574, then the replacement is the 53349

For Jacuzzi R-576, and ALL Balboa LE, and Value systems that are Non-M7 (they have a single temperature sensor), then select 58019.

Specs:
58028 - 4 KW, 1 PSI set Pressure Switch.
58019 - 5.5 KW, 2 PSI set Pressure Switch. 58025 - 5.5 Kw , 2 PSI set pressure switch and 2X1.5 inch heater union tailpiece. (for replacement you can order the 58019 because you wont need the tail piece )
