Inquiry posted on 11/10/05 hello. I ask about this heater a few days ago and have gotton no response.
my Questions were as folIs this heater 1.5" where it screws to the pump?
Does this pump have a presure switch so it will only burn when theres water running through it?
Do'es it have its own thermastat?
Do you have this in stock?
can you send it C.O.D for a customer that has purchased from you before?
Response 1. Yes.
2. Yes.
3. Yes, it is internal and not adjustable. This is designed to keep water warm, not heat it up from scratch. (This heater is recommended ONLY for bathtub spas).
4. Yes.
5. You'll have to contact us on the phone for this.
Inquiry posted on 11/13/05 Thank you for your responce. I almost bought this heater thinking it would heat up my dreammaker 225 gallon spa. The way it is designed, I mean the T configuration with 1.5" screw to the pump and 1" unions are exactly what i need to cut out the original hotstick design on my spa and install a heater.Do you have a heater with these configurations that will allow me to install on my hot tub? The heat stick was a poor design and wont keep the water warm without constant run of the motor. A heater elemt is a heater element so not sure why this bath heater wont get the water warm.it is exactly the configuration i need but i do want one that will work for me. if you think this heater wont heat the water than i have to trust in what you tell me as i dont know and you obviusly do. can you recomend a heater 110 volts that will work for my spa? as you know what my sizes are and my configuration needs to be to cut out the hot stick. pump is 1.5" with 1" hoses on each side of it in a T configuration. thank you for all the help you been great.
Response The reason why it won't work is because it's designed for light duty applications where the use is infrequent. Installed on your tub for full time usage it'll be dead after about 4 months. Now, if your spa is drained after each use, then this heater will be fine.
Otherwise, you need a more robust solution. It's unfortunate that your spa is plumbed with a T connector, but to do what you need to do you'll have to move the pump over and then plumb in something like this: http://spapartsnet.com/p_Electric-Heaters-Parts_EHHVUL101_433_1_1.html. The Vulcan price is only a little more than this heater. You'll also need to install a pressure switch in series with the wiring to turn the heater on only when water pressure is present.
Inquiry posted on 08/15/05 Does the heater assy include new gaskets?
Response It comes with the seals for the tail pieces.
Inquiry posted on 10/17/05 Hello; Can you tell me what temperature this heater will maintain? Also, does this item have a pre-set temperature that it will maintain? If so, what temp? Or does it have a variable temp that can be set by the user? If so, what range? Thank you!
Response This system is pre-set to maintain a temperature of 104 degrees.
