The Hayward Brand "stand-alone" heater  is a tried and true electric heater for use with permanently installed equipment. It is rated for use even exposed to the elements.  This heater has a very small footprint and can fit in compact spaces.  Its only 11 5/8ths inches high x 6.5/8ths X 6 1/4 inches.

One of the best features about this heater is its extreme servicability.  The elements are threaded into the stainless steel tank.  They are easy AND inexpensive to replace.  It UPS shippable and only weighs 14 lbs.

5.5KW versions require a 2 wire 30 amp service, and the 11 kw version requires a 50 amp electrical service.
