4" thick concrete pad OK?

Hello, I origionally set my spa on a 4" pea gravel bed but could never seem to get the darn thing 100% level. So I'm having a concrete pad poured for it this weekend. Will a standard 4" thick concrete pad be OK for it? My spa is 7' 4" all around & i'm going to have a 9'x9' slab poured.

If it matters, the spa is a 1998 sundance montego

Thanks!

Re: 4" thick concrete pad OK?

I really can not believe the lack of help on this forum, either that or there are not very many members. <img src=" title="Confused" />

<img src=:" title="Question" /> Well, out of the few questions that I have asked on this forum only one person responded. This site seems pretty weak! Not much help to be offered I see. Oh well I guess.

Re: 4" thick concrete pad OK?

Once again, thanks for all of the replies (not!) I have never seen such a dead forum before.

Anyways, I got the concrete done. 4" thick, I made sure the ground was compacted really well before the concrete went down. I found a guy to do the concrete for $375.00. it's a 9'x9' & it's 100% level. He put relielf joints in the concrete so if it were to crack at least it would crack along the joints.

I will put the spa onto the pad this weekend & then wait an additional week before I fill it back up.

Re: 4" thick concrete pad OK?

Gee, ask about your heater not working if you just want replies <img src=" title="Laughing" /> Looks nice, I assume 4" is plenty, imo, <img src=" title="Smile" />

Re: 4" thick concrete pad OK?

Why? If I ask about my heater not working people will reply? <img src=" title="Confused" /> Are you the heater guru? Yeah I think that 4" should be thick enough, A driveway is only 4" thick without any rebar & it supports my 2 vehicles fine so I hope that this pad will do the same for my spa. It was poured on tuesday so I figure that it's safe to place the spa back onto the pad on saturday. I don't plan on filling it up for at least another week after that though. Hopefully it will all go smoothly & the spa will work as it should. BTW, thanks for responding <img src=" title="Laughing" /> <img src=" title="Laughing" /> <img src=" title="Laughing" />
