| Catalina Spa: NO POWER |
Hi-
We need help!
Catalina Spa, Balboa Instruments 60 Hz (not sure what other information to give)
We got all of the electrical work done and nothing happens. We check the fuses, suggested at another forum question. Husband says there is power to the circuit board. However nothing on the control panel works?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Either bad transformer, or bad board.
That is, if the power is connected right. |

Catalina Spa: NO POWER
How can we tell if it is the board or the transformer?
Thanks

Depends on the system design, but you'll need to tap into the transformer primary wiring to measure to see if you're getting 230 or 115 volts.
Or you could do a basic ohm-meter check on the primary and secondary windings to see if there's continuity.
It would be best if you could post a photo of the insides of your control box. |

Catalina Spa: NO POWER
Which wires am I checking on the transformer?
We attached the photo of the inside of it.
We did learn that it is a Balboa CAT200?
Thanks

Catalina: We got Power!
Yeah, its working now.
Strangest thing, finally called a technician and it was a "bad" brand new breaker. So we exchanged and it is working.
Yeah
Thanks
