Need to know if this will work... HELP

ok i have a spa pack from spaguts.com its a 220v. My gfci 50 amp breaker was bad so i hooked it up to a regular 50 amp breaker and it turned on but there was no blower and the pump wasnt pumping the jets very hard. Is it because i dont have the neutral wire hooked up? I have 4 wires. the ground is hooked up and the red and black hots are hooked up but not the white neutral or the white pigtail from the breaker because im not using the gfci. Im getting a new gfci tomorrow and just wanted to know if that will fix everything or is it something different? thanks

dont need to it was as i expected bought a new gfci breaker today and it works.
