Old "Air Switches" defective
Starting new topic - narrowing down the problems on 20+ yr old custom installed hot tub that came with house. One pump and the underwater light were not working.
-2 Hayward Super Pumps SP2607X10 (self prime) 240V
-Teledyne-Laars Electra II heater
-Hayward Star-Clear C-750 filter
-Conger Bros. "Santanna" blower
-AS1 and AS2 air switches.
-120vac - 15vdc transformer for light.
-Tub make unknown, but looks great.
There are several "Air Switches" that I assume were to protect from electric shock. These air switches were apparently defective (or tripped?) because when I bypassed the switch circuit, the pump and light work.
My question is: Should I replace the air switches with GFI breakers or get new air switches?
Thanks
Bill
