gfci trips instantly?
I just hooked up my coleman spa after sitting for a year. I hit the red button on the gfci the blower turns on and instantly it trips. After doing some trouble shooting I thought I had narrowed it to the pump. I had unhooked the 3 wires for the pump by unscrewing them from the circuit board. everything came on fine the gfci did not trip.I hooked the 3 wires back to the board and of course the gfci tripped instantly again. Here is where I am confused. when I unpluged the pump at the bottom of the control box rather then unscrewing the 3 wires from the circuit board and hit the red button on the gfci it instantly trips again. wouldn't this eleminate the pump issue? It seems to me that between where the wires for the pump that screw into the board and the plug from the actual pump is grounding out. I can not see where this would be happening and there is not a blown fuse any where in the pannel? What am I missing? Thank you

Your plug could be bad at the point where the pump plugs into the panel, look for burning or discoloring. More likely though is that it's your heater element. Disconnect and isolate the two wires going to it and see if that helps.
