Air intakes on a Hot Springs Grandee
I have just purchased a used Hot Springs Grandee, SN G-431005
I think the tub was made around 1998.
The previous owner did some work on the Spa, and there are 6 hoses dangling in the pump compartment. 4 come from the left side of the spa & have what appear to be one -way valves on them. The other 2 come from the right side of the spa and are open ended.
What are these tubes for? and should they all have valves? and is it Ok for them to dangle?
Thanks

Your tub is a '93 hot spring based on the serial number, nice job on the previous onwner to make you think it was a '98 if that's what he did.
I think the tubes that you are talking about are the air-intake valves for the jets. They can dangle without a problem but if you look up towards the bartop under there is most likely a clip that it goes back into. If the valve is bad the tub may leak if it is hanging down.

Hi Dan - Thanks for the response!
Thanks for the information. The previous owner didn't deceive me about the year, I just made my best guess.
I really appreciate knowing the year, as now I can order parts with a sense of confidence.
Based on your input I'll put valves on all the tubes, and secure them back up where they belong. Does your company supply replacement valves?
