Filter cycle
Installing a Balboa 2000le pack in my Leisure bay tub. System has a 24 hr circulation pump (Grundfus), 2 single speed pumps and a blower. The controller can run the primary pump for 2 filtration cycles a day with a minimum of 2 hrs each. As all the filtration is done by the circulation pump, would I see any benefit to running the primary pump using the filtration cycles? The controller not only runs the Grundfus 24/7, but also the ozonator. Is it necessary to run the ozonator constantly or would it be better to tie this in to the primary pump and use it only during the filtration cycles (and also increase ozonator life)? Approximately how many hrs. a day would be sufficient?

James, you are correct on the ozone, a standard configuration is to run it when the pump is running for heat. There are other ways to do it, but ozonators like the Del corona discharge suggest no more that 12 hours a day with decent breaks between cycles.
