| best location to install spa |
need advice on the best location to install my spa. my house faces south and have a patio on both the east side and west side of my house in the back yard. privacy panels could be installed in any location. also have space on the north side of the house but during the winter it never gets sun. electricity is closest on the west side. |

Re: best location to install spa
There is no best location for a tub, it comes down to what you prefer and the specific layout of your yard.
You should keep in mind whether you wish to have sun beating down on you all day, and that can be mitigated if you have a gazebo or something similar to it.
Also consider access on those cold winter evenings, so you may wish to have closer to the house where you can get out quickly, take a dip, and close it up real fast.
My tub is on a 2 level deck, right up by the house...works well for me. My house faces west, tub faces east and because of that I do not have very much direct sun which I prefer. Friends have theirs on the west side of their house, much further away from their door and it works well for them. They had to work around a very small steep deck, and a pool which was already installed.
So look at access, whether you wish for a lot of direct sun, your particular setup and yes it probably costs a bit more to run the electrical the further away you are....but you do that once and enjoy the tub for a great many years. |

Re: best location to install spa
ok, now what about the astrological point of view...the view south is blocked by the house and of course... the city lights wash the view of the stars. I mainly can use the tub only at night due to work. |

Re: best location to install spa
I've had mine under cover at the old house and under the stars at the new house. I definately prefer under the stars (with a Jack Daniels). |
