| flo problem |
I have a gecko TSPA-1. I have 1 pump, no blower.
I replaced my impellor on my tub and since then my tub seems to be confused (or at least I am). I had to remove my pressure switch and pack/heating unit to get at my pump.
I calibrated my pressure switch as best as I figured out. Switch is closed on full/half speed moter going, opens when either cycle stop.
I can turn spa on manually with no problem. I can run through a full cycle fine, on both full and half speed. The problem happens after that cycle finishes. The blower symbol flashes, I can hear a relay click on. But my pump doesn't turn on and about 3-5 seconds after the relay click I get a FLO error code on the display. Switch is open at this time as no pump is on.
I read in a gecko pack overview that when that blower symbol comes on, it's supposed to turn on pump2 and the blower. I don't have either. Did my board lose some sort of settings when I had it turned off for a month while finding a replacement impeller?
I read in a troubleshooting doc for a similar pack to set the heat point to 60 and do the same steps to test teh flow switch. This didn't change anything for me.
I also just did some manual testing.
Test1: I bypassed my pressure switch and jumpered wires. Turned on pump 1 manually. Everything working fine. If I unplug my jumper, display shows FLO. Test2: Same as above, except this time I turn off pump 1, and leave wires connected. FLO error. Test3: Turn on maually. Turn off pump1, disconnect wires. Wait 5+ seconds, Blower comes on in display. Hear relay click, Jumper wires for flow switch. Spa heater is running, no pump, but pack thinks that switch is closed, water temp rises quickly and shows an HL (heater approaching ~112). I guess only heating water in tube, but water not circulating.
So it seems like when the blower symbol comes on, pump 1 should be turning on. It used to do this, so something is wrong. Seems like pressure switch is fine, heater element works, pump1 works. Board just seems confused. Is there any configuration for the board itself?
I don't actually read voltage at pump2 when the blower mode tries to start.
attached is a pic of my setup if it helps any.
wired plugs from top are ozone, pump2, pump1
cheers. |

Re: flo problem
Your low level programming may have been reset somehow, leading your spa to believe it has 2 jet pumps, a blower, and a circ pump. Since it is trying to use a circ pump during heat cycles, you get a flo error but you can manually operate it with the jet button.
So, press and hold 'program' for 30 seconds. I don't have the list of options in front of me, but once you're in that mode, use temp up and down to change settings and blower/light to cycle through. The ones you want to change are:
cp 1 - change to cp 0 p2 1 or 2 - change to p2 0 bl 1, 2, or 3 - change to bl 0
That will set all three options to non-existent status.
The other things you'll encounter refer to your ozonator, pump 1, temp display c or f, and temp sensor calibration. Those should all be ok. |

Cheers, that's the kind of info I was looking for...
Unfortunately though, I am still having problems.
I held down the light button for 20 seconds and I reached a service menu, but I can't seem to change the settings and the settings don't have any meaning to me.
current settings:
r 06 Lr 1 H 535 7`046 b045 H030 L028 C028 E004
I called the shop where it was originally from and they are trying to find me their service manual for it.
If anyone has this information for the tspa-1, It would be greatly appreciated.
