| 1997 Balboa 2000D No Heat |
Hello,
All spa controls are working
Pump 1 Low and high
Pump 2 High
Blower
Temp set, ECON, STD, LOCKF etc.
Just no heat
Heater Element finally went after 7 years on 1997 Thermospa with Balboa 2000D Spa Pack.
Quite obvious, element was burnt and in two pieces at the tie wires.
Install new element and still no heat.
Suspected burned out heater relay as well, sent board to Balboa.
Balboa replaced heater relay with new 40AMP style.
Installed circuit board in spa, powered up still no heat.
Display is showing a blinking Pump 2 light with o3 between the temp and cool.
Jumpers are set as follows
J9 20A/50A = 50A is shorted
J10 Pump 2 Enable = open
J11 PH Sensor = pins 3 and 4 are shorted
J16 Ozone Enabe = open
What should I check next???
Heater light is on, but no heat?
How can I test the Temp sensor set, is there a room temp ohm reading for this set???
Also how can I test / overide the Flow switch???
Board has 2 high limit relays, should both these be closed for heat???
Thanks in advance,
Randy

check for incomming power, making sure you measure across both L1 and L2 (not to ground or neutral). If you have full voltage there, you could still have a faulty board. The high limit relays should be pulled in along with the heater relay. |
