| 30 amp gfci breaker on my 2003 hot spring spa keeps tripping |
i just recieved a hot spring spa yesterday and after i hooked everything up. The 30 amp gfci breaker keeps tripping. Ive been reading many of the topics and it seems it could be a problem with the heating unit. however the spa was working correctly a week ago. when the previous owner disconnected it or when we moved it could it have damaged the spa to where only the heating system was affected? could i have wired it wrong and this is why only the 20 amp breaker is working and the 30 amp is tripping? im re-asking this question because no other thread had this problem after re-wiring and re-filling the hot spring spa. any advice would be awsome.
Thanks |

Move a spa = dead heater.
I'm assuming this is a Ground Fault type circuit breaker? |

anything else i should be worried about since we moved the spa incorrectly or is the heater the main issue? one of my friends said i could have wired it wrong. |

Is this a standard 30 amp breaker or a Ground Fault circuit breaker? |

Re-wiring the breakers too?
If you hadn't re-wired it, I too would suspect the heater. But when a Hot Spring spa is re-wired, and then trips the GFCI, it's almost always miswired.
Post the serial #, you may have the neutral going to the wrong breaker, or simply miswired the breaker. |
