94 Tiger River Manora overheating

Our hot tub will get up to 120 degrees and shut off. We purchased a new thermostat and installed it and still have the same problems. We also have a new GFRC. HELP!!

Re: 94 Tiger River Manora overheating

You may need a new temp sensor or your heater relay may be getting stuck. The voltage across the heater relay coil should change (off/on) as you adjust the thermostat to either side of the spa temp. If the thermostat isn't opening, you've got a bad temp sensor. If it opens and closes, but the relay stays closed, you've got a bad relay.

Thanks so much - is this something we can order through our pool and spa provider??

Re: 94 Tiger River Manora overheating

Sure, or you can post a few pictures here of the relay or the temp sensor, whichever is the issue, and we can help you track it down online.

Re: 94 Tiger River Manora overheating

No temp sensors in the '94, just the thermostat. Either the one you put in is bad or maybe the relay is sticking closed. Is the tub 110 or 220?

It is a 110
