96 Sovereign 120V - heat stopped with red flash - new circ pump flows, high thermistors 25kohm & 51.1kohm, filters ok, no air block, GFI ok, heater plug no shorts with 9ohm on element, all electronics look good, flashing red light Any ideas? |

Re: 96 Sovereign Heater
Need new thermistor...which one is 51 ohms...high limit?
I normally replace both if one goes bad anyway. |

Re: 96 Sovereign Heater
Response much appreciated. Note reading is 51k ohm versus 51 ohm (close to short). Thermistor nearest heater power cord on heater tube is 51.1k and one nearest end of heater going to circ pump is 25k. I will replace both. |

Re: 96 Sovereign Heater
More info, opened control box, clean, no visual issues, turned on carefully, no 120v on heater plug, 120 comes in box then to R5 relay but not switched to R4 heater relay, R5 control (blue lines) comes from a pcb, no schematics. Still think thermistors either control or high limit (each go to separate PCB) not allowing relay to switch? Thanks |
