| 9V Backup Battery |
I have a late 90's Jacuzzi tub that has a Balboa spa pack, model F106. The pack has a 9V NiCd battery backup that's supposed to keep the settings alive for ~15 minutes if the power goes out or the breaker trips.
The battery is very old and needs replacement. Of course, 9V NiCd's are very difficult to come by nowadays.
So, can I use a 9V alkaline? 9V Nimh? I'm concerned about the alkaline b/c of the charger circuit for the NiCd. Same goes for the Nimh, b/c I don't think you're supposed to charge Nimhs in a charged designed for Nicd's.
Anyone have any good ideas? |
