| Blue Ridge by Jacuzzi questions (came with our new house) |
We recently purchased a house with a hot tub recessed into the deck and the previous owner didn't give us any documentation. The hot tub is "Blue Ridge by Jacuzzi" and seems to function properly as far as I have been able to tell. Thanks to this site I've found the copy of the manual and some additional info in the forums, but I still have a number of questions.
Could someone explain all the functions available on the control panel? The manual helps, but does not have explicit instructions on all the functions. The jets buttons land light are easy enough (although the light doesn't work at this time) to understand, but what does the ECON button on the left do? When I put it in this mode it seems to keep the temperature at a constant level and changing the temperature up or down doesn't seem to do anything until I take it out of this mode.
How can I tell if I have the ozonator without removing the side panel? If so is it always on? According to the manual the circulation pump stays on 24/7 and mine does.
The lowest I can set the temperature is 65, but the manual says that the heater will kick on at 40 degrees so I assume that there is a way to make it lower than what I've figured out (for wintertime mainly)
What if the preferred method of winterizing this hot tub, keep running, antifreeze, or drain as far as longevity is concerned.
I've only used the hot tube a couple of times in the month I've owned it. Is it proper to drop the temperature down to 65 (or lower if possible in when it gets colder outside) and bring up a few hours before use?
Thanks in advance. |
