Breaker kicks out when thermostat turned up
I have an older Sunrise Spa (10+years). When its heating (red light is on), after about 10-15 minutes, it kicks out the breaker. If I turn down the thermostat, it won't kick out. Could it be the heater element? I replaced it 4 years ago. The reset button does not kick out either.
Any help would be appreciated!

Re: Breaker kicks out when thermostat turned up
I have a 1994 Seven Seas Spa that is doing the same thing. The tub dealer told me to try replacing the GFI first before replacing the heater. Maybe that will work for you - but it didn't for me. " title="Sad" />

Re: Breaker kicks out when thermostat turned up
Is it your CGFI tripping? Your Breaker in your main house panel? Your CFI on the spa control box? the Hi-Limit?

Re: Breaker kicks out when thermostat turned up
I fixed this. It was the breaker on the tub. It had gone bad.
Works OK now, but it won't heat past 96 degrees. " title="Sad" />

Re: Breaker kicks out when thermostat turned up
Kinda sounds like your heating element may be bad. Can you put a current clamp on one leg of the element when the pack is calling for heat. What is the reading.
