CALSPA heater problem
I just moved into a home with a circa 2000/2001 CALSPA sporting a 2200 series electronic control board made by Balboa I believe. The 2 leads to the heater were disconnected when I moved in ( I did not know why) so I reconnected them to K4 and K2 on the circuit board and when I close the GFI it faults immediately. Disconnecting the heater leads allows all other functions to work correctly. What gives?
I can't locate a diagram for this control board but the simple diagram on the inside of the control box cover clearly shows screws K2 and K4 to be heater connections. Could the heater be bad? How would I check for that to be the case? COuld there be a different connection for the heater I can't see on the board?
Thanks for any help you can give.
