Cal Spa refill / restart problem ----------- Please Help!!!
2001 Cal Spa sat drained for a couple of months, worked perfectly and was drained periodically over the last 5+ years. Refilled it now but pumps don't seem to kick-in..... I hope I'm not froze-up. Northern climate, we've had a few nights below 32..... but the tub was drained and blown-out well. Upon refilling I DID NOT start the process at the filter as the I now read in the manual that I should've done...... water temp is 46 to 47 and has maintained for three days.... upon throwing breaker the safety suction light comes on immediately and you can hear the pump try to start-up....... it whines/buzzes for about 10 seconds then shuts-down only to repeat about 25 seconds later...... after it ''tries'' to start like this about three times then the ozone light also comes on. Do I have a stuck pump or impeller of some kind?? Airlocked?? Any advice is greatly appreciated.......... no decent dealers left in my town.
