| Del Sol tub heats to 79 and stops. |
Ok so this is my FIRST hottub and already having troubles!!! I got this tub the other day, cleaned it up and filled it. Turned it on and it read a flashing COL 65. I expect that to mean the water was cold and it was complaining just like I would!
Over the next few hours it went to COL 79. Overnight it did not change any more. It has been 79 all night. I do not know why it would raise it to 79 degrees and then hold it there for several hours overnight at around 35-40 degrees outside. The pump is still turning.
The rest of the unit seems to work fine. It pumps air very well and light comes on fine.
I know a good deal about controls and electricity but I can not find anything on the DEL SOL as far as model number or anything online about them at all.
I can follow troubleshooting instructions as long as I know what I am testing and what to look for.
Any help I can get would be most wonderful as my wife really wants to get in this thing!!!! |

Re: Del Sol tub heats to 79 and stops.
from page 22 of the manual;
Panel Displays COL Cool Condition - Temperature has dropped 20°F (11°C) below the current set temperature (in economy mode). The low speed pump and heater have been activate to bring the temperature within 15°F (8°C) of the set temperature. No corrective action is required. Note: during cold periods, you may consider increasing the number of filtration cycles.
I'd suspect it has a bad heating element (is it getting power? what's the amp draw?). |

Thank you so much for responding! You mention a manual.. Any ideas where I can get one??? I cant find anything online. I removed the filter and the heat has now stabilized around 85-86 so a new filter seems to be in order too.
As I do not have the manual I am not sure of the schematics to properly check. I also need to get a clamp on amp meter. I have a good multi-meter. If you have a part number for the heating element I can start to locate one and see if that helps. Of course I would then need to know how to replace it and hope it can be done without draining the tub!!!!
I do not know how to increase the number of filtration cycles, but I am sure that is all explained in the manual I don't have! LOL
Let me know and agian thanks for helping out a NEW-TARD like me!

Coleman Spas** Coyote Spas** Crystal Waters Spas** Del Sol Spas**
Are listed with no link with this: ** These companies are no longer in business or do not offer their spa owners manuals online. Most likely, we have copies of the owners manual. Please use the Contact link below to make a request.
So I used the contact to see if they have it.
All I can do is wait until they respond unless you have the part number for the element and where I can find it...
