Electrical Problem US SPA
We were away on vacation and lost power several times and when I returned the water was ice. Tub was still working but after I thawed the water and filled up tub and attempted to run it the tub stopped functioning. Since then I get no power to the tub (the display does not light up) My circuit board in my home does not indicate a short so the power line is OK).
I simply cannot get power or LCD display to the tub. To make matters worse, the tub is just 8 months old and the company US Spa in Tampa appears to have left town, so my service warranty is non-existent now
Where do I start?
Thanks |

That all depends on how handy you are with a multitester and how well you can follow electrical troubleshooting... To start with you will need to determine exactly where the power quits. Start at the main breaker and work your way to the tub. After you get to the tub, you will want to inspect all onboard fuses, and probe the transformer for power on both the primary and secondary. If you have power on the secondary (will be either 12 or 24V AC) then you can pretty much count on replacing the circuit board.
Have you tried to contact the company through the resources listed in the owner's manual? All this should be covered under warranty, including service in most cases, regardless of wether or not your dealer is still in town. Do this before digging in, since you being in there could void the warranty. |
