| Everything Works but 2nd Stage of Pump |
I have a Sundance Suntub and I just had to gut the thing to fix some damage from some rats. I have all the wiring back together as well as the plumbing. I turned it all back on and everything works, except the 2nd stage of the pump. I can hear the relay clicking on, but nothing happens. I can press the button to turn the pump off. Press it again to turn on the circulation stage, press it again and it continues to circulate but nothing else.
The system is wire for 220V. Any ideas on how to trouble shoot it? I have attached a picture the wiring schematic that is on the inside of the cover.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. |

Under the K-4 relay, looking at the schematic, is it possible the common and the black wire reversed? (assuming black=low speed and red-high speed)
It looks like the common (white) is supposed to be in the middle, with High speed to the right, and low speed to the left. Can you take anotehr pic of the PCB froma lower angle, I'd like to see how the PCB is marken under the K-4 relay.
Thanks!
Don't re-wire unless you've checked voltages at those terminals- I'd hate to be wrong!
Also, different manufactures aren't consistant with what color is used for high and low speed. Sometimes, red=high, sometimes, red=low. So be sure once you have two speeds, they are in the right sequence, if not, just reverse them.
Also, is the 110v jumper supposed to still be connected? With the system being 220v, is the pump also 220v, or still 110v? Look at the old PCB to see if that jumper is on there. |
