| Filtering Time- Clean water or save electricity/ wear? |
Looking to find the least amount of filter time to maintain good water like I have now. 360 gallons, single 2 speed pump all on 220 V. I am the only user- about once every week or so for 20 minutes with a shower rinse beforehand. I am using chlorine with an ozonator for sanitizing. Right now I have it set for 4 filter cyles a day every 6 hours. 2 at 20 min and 2 at 10 min- alternating. Based on my use, can I get by with less filter time? The manual says 4 at 30 minutes each which I know is overkill. What does everyone else use? |

Re: Filtering Time- Clean water or save electricity/ wear?
Read your post and wish I could help answer your question. I to want to limit the daily filtering time. The least my program will do is 1hour each 12 hours. I use mine 1 time a week and there is two of us. With the filtering cycle I'm using (1/12) my water is just fine,no cloudiness,no chemical problems. I think I would be OK if it ran for 30 minutes every 12 hours. I don't know if something can be done to the circut board to accomplish this. I hope someone has some experience with the questions we are asking " title="Confused" />
Just another retired guy on fixed income trying to conserve electricity or should I say the cost of it! |
