| GFCI blows intermittently on Arctic spa |
My GFCI blows intermittently, twice a week. The blower has been unplugged and the spa now doesn't blow GFCI. A new blower was installed and the GFCI blows. The dealer says that my GFCI is bad and needs replacement. My question is how can my GFCI support 2 pumps, heater, control panel, lights, control electronics, etc and work just fine but the blower causes trouble. I don't want to spend money on an electrician to install a new GFCI and not get the problem solved. The tub is brand new, delivered in Oct 2008. Dealer has been out 8 times trying to fix it. I would think they looked over the plumbing for problems?? Isn't there some kind of electrical panel that switches the blower on and off? Could this be bad? Any other ideas?

Re: GFCI blows intermittently on Arctic spa
Its not unusual to find a defective GFCI. Replace it and the argument with the dealer is over. If it still pops then its likely their problem. |
