| Heater/Filter |
I have a Discovery Spa. I'm told it's about 9 years old. My problem is that when I turn on the spa to do anything (heat, filter or just normal uses), the spa turns off after about 15 minutes. So when I'm heating or filtering, I have to run outside every 15 minutes to turn the filter and heater back on. I thought maybe there was a timer but I'm not able to find one. I have 5 buttons on my control pad; 1 for the pump (3 levels - low, high & filter), 1 for the blower, 1 for the light and 2 for the up and down control of the temperature. The spa will heat up to 100 degrees as long as I keep running out and turning it back on (it doesn't disconnect completely - electrical wise, just shuts down pumps and heaters - keeps the controls on). I've tried holding down a couple of the buttons to see if an option will display. The only thing that flashes across is "Econo" and "SEAL". I'm not sure on the second word, it doesn't show up good. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Tonight I ran some test and found out that only the pump shuts down every 15 minutes. The blower and lights stay on. I just installed a new pump this past weekend. What should I be looking for? |

sounds like the pump is not getting enough voltage.
seems like its shutting off on thermal overload.
does it get REALLY hot? |

Actually, I finally figured it out last night. I had pump # 2 plugged into pump # 1's outlet on the control box and vice versa. For some reason it wouldn't work the other way. I just assumed both plugins were the same. Everything works great now. Thanks. |
