Heating Problem with 1998 Watkins Tiger River Siberian
In my 1998 Tiger River Siberian the no-fault 6000 burned out. As I'm sure you know, they now replace the no-fault 6000 with a "Tri-Bend". I installed it and the water heats to 97 degrees and then the control head "ready indicator" light comes on and the heater stops heating. The heater is drawing 24 amps when it is on, so it seems to be working properly. The temp. lock is not on and the spa lock is also not on. I have also checked the thermisters and they both read 96-97 degrees. I called the Watkins tech people and they told me that I would need to replace the control head. It was easy to do and only set be back $250, but did not change anything. I'm guessing that I'm about to replace the IQ2000 control, right?
