Hi limit and temp sensor question
I have a hot spring grande spa built in 1997.My wire to the wave master 6000 heater (the older model) is frayed but I'm not sure it it is the No fault temp sensor (part Nbr. 38415) or the no fault hi limit senoor (38416). How can i tell the difference? Thanks Jim

Re: Hi limit and temp sensor question
The Thermisters coming off the no-fault 6000 are different in 2 ways. If you have them unscrewed from the heater it's easy. The Control Thermister has the larger threads and the High Limit Thermister has smaller threads. If the spa is full of water unplug them from the control box. Look at their leads inside their jacks. The control should have female leads and the high limit male. You can also look on the circuit board - it should be labeled showing which is which. These are only $20 parts.
Have Fun

Re: Hi limit and temp sensor question
Thanks, that was very helpful and I appreciate your quick response. I do have one other question. The spa is empty as i had to repair a leak. My old wavemaster no fault 6000 also has a small leak (drip). The leak is dripping from the connection to the outlet flow (top black part where the sesor connects to the silver bar). The reason fro the leak is because I have a crack in the black sleeve that slides in the fitting. I'm having a hard time finding that plastic sleeve. I check a few spa places thinking they might have some old disgared ones but no luck. I was think of trying to glue the crack in the sleeve and then putting silcone around the outside. Would that work? Or do you know where I can get the sleeve from. I guess my problem is that wave master was dis-continued a few years back. Again, Thank You

Re: Hi limit and temp sensor question
Sorry for the delay. I'm not sure what you mean by a sleeve, but the manufacturer doesn't part out anything on that heater.
