Hot Springs 30A GFCI question
I picked up a 1994 Hot springs Grandee this past weekend. I currently have 220V running from my house into the Hot Springs Circuit box with the two 30A and 20A breakers. The 20A breaker works fine, but I am having problems with the 30A breaker. When I try to close it, it trips instantly. I understand that the 30A breaker only supplies power to the heaters. To rule out bad heater elements, I disconnected the elements from the control box. The breaker still tripped instantly. I then disconnected both load wires that run from the 30A breaker to the control box. The breaker still trips instantly upon shutting.
Can anyone see a problem other than a bad breaker?

Re: Hot Springs 30A GFCI question
If you disconnect the wires from the breaker and it still trips it should be a bad breaker. Make sure there is NO neutral connected to that breaker.
