Hot Springs Prodigy tripping 30amp Breaker.
I have an older Hot Springs Prodigy I wired up last week. I have the 50amp running to the sub panel with the 30amp and 20amp breakers. I have gone over the scematics several times. Everything appears to be wired properly. However, the 30amp breaker (for the heater) keeps tripping seconds after it's turned on. Any ideas?? Everything else runs great - jets, lights, etc. Could it just be a bad breaker?? Brian

Did you meter out the heater? Is it leaking current to ground? Most likely that is the problem.
Disconnect the heater and see if it still trips.

Re: Hot Springs Prodigy tripping 30amp Breaker.
I agree there is prolly something going on with the heater most likely short to ground. It could be a bad breaker but i doubt it. there have been a lot of counterfit breakers coming in from china as of lately that are not made to original specs. but i still believe it would have to do with the current going to ground somewhere.
