Inherited old spa builder Hot tub
I Inherited old spa builder Hot tub with a freeflow ap-4 control unit. I have a black 3 prong 110v 15A cord which is unattached to the unit. I do not have the wiring diagram. I wont to attach the cord to the control unit, but I don't know if previous owner ran it 110 or 220v. Unit says to remove orange jumper to run 220v. I dont know where jumper is or if removed already. Also since i want to test the unit, please advise on GFI outlet I need to plug this Hot tub into. Please send link to wiring diagram or any other questions you have for me. Thanks

Re: Inherited old spa builder Hot tub
Someone on this website posted that he wanted to buy a spa builders spa pack. Perhaps he has the wiring diagram. I don't know much about spa builders, but have been in your shoes as far as learning about 220 vs 110. I have smoked a couple of motors and blowers by sending 220 though them. One simple thing to do is look at the pump motors and on the rating plate they always post the voltage and amperage. I always try to find an owners manual for each tub I work on, and you can and should do the same. It will be free, or cost about 10 bucks. Seek and ye shall find.
