| Leisure Bay LB102 - No Power? |
We have this 4 person tub outside under our patio, and it is hard wired with all the proper wiring and has been working for approx. 4 years just fine. Now, there is no power and all the breakers appear to be fine.
I read on NC-Spa's post that the problem was a 20amp fuse inside, but really not sure what it looks like, or if it's safe to touch it with some needle nose pliers to pull it out and replace it.
Help? |

Turn off the power and OHM it out. It the biggest fuse there, located on the right side of the board, positioned vertically. It's not one of the little glass ones.
However, a blown 1/2 amp slow-blow glass fuse will render the spa in the same condition. The 1/2 amp slow-blow appear, to the eye, to be good. You need to ohm it out. The filliment is coiled around a substrate, and when it blows, it's almost impossible to see where.
Just pull out your multi-meter and test for ohms across the fuses. Also, test the voltage and be sure the neutral is good as well. |

Thanks man, except I don't have a multi meter to "ohm it out" " title="Confused" /> ; so I guess Home Depot will have to help me out there too.
Yeah, the glass one still looks clear and the metal filiment still looks in tact, so it's probably the 20amp one.

I'm saying the glass one looks good, even when it's blown- don't go by looks on that one.
A cheap OHM/Volt meter is just a few bucks- don't need an expensive one for this type of job
Good luck " title="Smile" /> |
