Leisure Bay spa fried?

I have a 2004 Leisure Bay G2Plus model with a Balboa 52326 circuit board. After a severe lightning storm the spa quit working. The main GFI is still on and the Ozonator is still running. The main barrel fuse is still good as is the smaller fuse that is soldered to the circuit board.

I have no display on the control panel and none of the buttons work. I am not sure what to test to see if the board is shorted out or if it is the transformer. Nothing shows visual damage or arcing.

There is also a smaller circuit board above the large Balboa board. This smaller one has no numbers on it.

Where do I go from here? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The small PCB is the light PCB.

If the main is getting juice, it's probably bad, also possible the transformer is bad. All you can do is check fuses, and it sounds like you've done that. Might want to unplug and re-plug in the topside to the PCB, and check for cord damage. Rodents will occasionally chew 'em up, and it's possible they did so around the same time as the electrical storm.

I was retesting fuses. The main barrel fuse is okay. There is what appears to be a fuse soldered to the circuit board (1/4 inch by 1 inch glass), but it isn't listed on the wiring diagram. It has 120 volt ac on the incoming side (?) and only 7 volts ac on the other. The transformer only tests at 7 v ac in and.6 v dc out.

I am assuming this is a fuse of some type, but it has no markings on it. Does anyone have any information about this item? I am sure I can replace it if I can only identify what to replace it with.

Thanks for any help.
