Has any one ever tried to change the florescent light to a led light ?
i have a 99 tiger river siberian and constantly go thru light bulbs, i am looking to up grade to a LED light kit,
I took a volt meter and got really strange readings, between the 4 terminals on the main board I had readings of 70 volts, 120 volts, 7 volts, but none of them shut off when i hit the power button, 2 terminals go to the ballast and 2 go to the light housing, not counting the ground wire. i just seems odd when the power button is hit there are no signs of the power going off even though the light goes off. any ideas ?

've never tried to do that, but you've peaked my interest. Some HotSpring lights won't show the power to zero unless it has the load. Try hooking up the light and then testing voltage. I will be talking to Tech at Watkins today and will ask this question. I will post later today or tomorrow.

Thanks for the reply Pete, The light was in play when I hooked the volt meter up.

I just talked to tech - the voltage would be too much for the LED - the flourescent has about 65 volts and the LED needs about 9 volts - the only way would be to use a stepdown transformer and I don't know how reliable it would be.
