My new to me 1991 Caldera Spa Summit

So i acquired a 1991 Caldera Summit Spa. I've spent the last week and a half finishing the wire run, replacing the pump impeller, replacing the high pressure switch and finally last night was able to get it filled and this morning the water was HOT! This is the first tub i've owned and i'm wondering if it's operating correctly - the circulation pump seems to always be on. It's a single pump unit with a simple temperature dial that ranges from off to hot. I would presume that when i move the dial to freeze or warm rather than hot that the heater shouldn't be running and the water should stop circulating - is this correct? In the control box - there's a switch where you can alter from thermostat control to a timed control - i haven't swiched this yet, i've just left it on thermostat control. The water is too hot at this point and the pump continues to circulate the water. When the water was heating last night, the heater light came on and at this point it's no longer on - which indicates to me that the heater is off (i hope). Any hints on what to do to get the circulation pump to shut off? i don't think it should be running continuousely - but it might be something that i'm not doing correctly - thus far it's mostly been guess work. I am pleased that at least the water is heating and circulating though - considering all the work that's been done so far i've been making continuous progress. <img src=" title="Smile" />

If this unit is 110 volt, then the circulation pump will run all the time, this allows the heater to run also. The circ. pump and heater will shut down when the pump is running. I base my input on my 1991 hotspring tub. As far as the temp, I would try turning down the thermostat, Which will hopefully bring the temp down. 115 Deg is indeed HOT!!
