Pump only works on one mode/wiring?

Hello all! Longtime lurker, first time poster and I'm hoping to get a suggestion or two on a problem I'm having with my spa. I've got an 87 model Coleman Spectrum 120 portable spa. This spa is currently wired for 120V. It has 4 modes:
- Low w/heat
- Low w/air blower and no heat
- High w/no heat
- High w/air blower and no heat

No fancy circuit boards, just 2 DPDT relays, a sequential relay, a timer and heat control. All selections worked fine before but the motor kept seizing up so I had it rebuilt. When I got the motor back, again all worked well except it started binding again. There was a bearing in the bell housing that they didn't replace. Got it back again and the motor only worked on low w/heat. Somethings wrong with the motor, right? Well, other problems started cropping up starting with the magnetic switch on the door wouldn't shut the system off. Replaced one of the relays, problem solved but still the motor (pump) only runs in low mode with heat. I know this because it's the only selection that allows you to turn the heat on.

There are 4 wires going to the motor.....green, white, black and red. Here's where I'm a little confused. Everything I've read says that red is supposed to be low speed and black is supposed to be high speed. With the settings on low heat, I have 120V between the white and black. On any other setting I have no voltage between the white and red or white and black wire. My logic tells me that I should have the following voltages while in continuous (not standby) mode:

- Low w/heat (120V between white and red) (or white and black?)
- Low w/air blower and no heat (120V between white and red) (or white and black?)
- High w/no heat (120V between white and black) (or white and red?)
- High w/air blower and no heat (120V between white and black) (or white and red?)

What I've done.....

Replaced the relay that the magnetic door switch controls. Motor (pump) works on low heat mode, and the air blower works on other modes but no pump action on other modes.

Verified no voltage going to pump on other settings besides low heat.

Bypassed timer control by selecting continuous and verified voltage downline of switch.....no joy.

Verified heater is operating normally and resistance on heater element is 9.5 ohms with no short to outside of element.

Tried turning the heat off and on with the other settings to see if some motor wires got swapped somehow...no joy.

One observation....I mentioned that everything I've read says red is low speed and black is high speed. The black wire going to the motor is tied into the heater circuit and the red wire just goes to the top of the sequential relay.

My Questions.....

Maybe on mine the red is high speed and the black is low speed?

Is there a way I can verify the wiring on this motor? (it's a hayward pump with a Franklin Electric 3/4 hp motor)

Can I apply 120V to the red wire and see if it works on high speed which will verify the pump works and then I can troubleshoot the sequential relay?

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Richie
