SPA Builders Sub Group S questions
I just purchased a used hot tub and have some questions on wiring. The controls are a spa builders sub group s package. The tub is six and a half feet square with six jets and about a dozen air outlets. It came with a 60 fuse disconnect panel attached to the outside of the tub skirt. I have put the tub on a ten by ten brick foundation on the side of the house. I have a 200 amp panel on the outside wall with extra breaker spaces. I was planning on installing a 50 amp GFCI breaker in the panel, running 6 ga wire thirty feet to the disconnect panel, and running 6 ga wire 8 feet to the spa pack. I planned on changing out the 60 amp fuses in the disconnect panel with 50 amp fuses. Does anyone know if I can get away with running 50 amps instead of 60 amps to this spa pack? Also, does anyone know how old this spa pack is and how reliable it is? Thanks.

Re: SPA Builders Sub Group S questions
you need to do an FLA full load amp test to determine what the draw on your tub is or you can add up what you have off the rating plate add up the pump amperage plus the heater this will put you in the ball park
