Tropic Isle Heater Problem

I have a Tropic Isle Pool / Spa Heater giving me trouble. I have two issues. First, when I turn the spa controls on, I hear the gas valve click but the honeywell igniter is not sending the signal to the pilot (I don't hear the igniter clicking).

Second, I used to be able to light it manually. As soon as the flame was sensed, the main gas valve would open and light. The unit would reach temperature and hut off. Because the igniter isn't working, the unit will not come back on when the spa drops below temperature unless I do it manually.
Lately, when I try to light manually, the pilot ignites briefly but the gas valve immediately clicks off. It resets in about 15 seconds, the pilot lights and the gas valve immediately clicks out again. After alot of fussing I can sometimes get it to light.
I have bypassed the pressure swich so I know it is not a pressure problem. Do I have 2 problems? One with the electronic igniter (honeywell S66F) & the gas valve? What would cause the gas valve to open & immediately close again.

Lookng for help.

Either:
1. Your flame sensor is bad and/or
2. Your pilot generator assembly is corroded and reference ground (for the flame sensor) is just crappy.

Possible that your module has gone bad but I doubt it. Most of these both 1 and 2 will fix the problem.

Judt so I understand:

Is the flame sensor the unit mounted to the burner next to the igniter?

And is the Pilot Generator Assembly the Honeywell "Intermittent Pilot non 100% Shut Off"?

Thanks,

With regards to my Tropic Isle Heater, I found one of the male electrical connectors on the top of the gas valve has broken loose. The others are rusty as well.

Is this electrical connector replacable or do I have to replace the entire gas valve?

Thanks,
