Wiring problem

Hope someone can help me, cause I am getting very frustrated..

I have an Aruba Spa with a Spa Builders Spa Pack Model LX-10. The pump that I had was an aqua flow XP2. 2HP 230 volt. I replaced this pump with a Sta Rite Dura Jet 2.5HP 230 volt pump. Here is my problem I cannot get the wiring sequence right. Going into the spa pack from the GFCI are 4 wires, but only 3 are hooked up and that is the way it was originally installed and ran for 7 year. the wires that are hooked up are as follows
- L1 Black
- L2 Red
- ground

Coming out of the bottom of the posts for the above and running to spa plug
are
-L1 Black
- L2 white and Red
-ground
There is also some kind of jumper (hairpin type wire between L1 and L2 in the box. The pump has 4 wire connections, those being L1, L2, A, and ground.

Now I wired it to the pump as told by the manufacturer of the pump, as follows L1 - black, L2 - white, A - Red. and ground and it just pops the buss fuses..

Can someone pleas advise me of the proper wiring sequence.

HUNH?

Dude, send me a private message, this is totally bogus info and I'd like to know where it came from.

Don't waste anymore fuses on this thing lest you blow up everything (especially the pump) you got or otherwise waste a lot of money on fuses. I'm here this weekend no problem. Just send me a message with your phone number and I'll call you and we'll get it sorted out.

Disregard the help Pageup, I have figured it out with the help of the manufacturer of the Spa Pack "SPA BUILDERS". If any of you run into the same problem, this is what worked for me..Make sure your grounds are clean metal. A - Black, L1 - Red, L2 - White and obvously the ground and prime the pump....
