heater blows GFI
!0 year old hot Springs model. When I disconnect the heater the spa runs. Connect heater and GFI blows. Is this a bad heater or can it be other things?

Have you checked to see if the heater element is ok? I had this problem before, and it turned out that the element had a crack which was causing the GFCI to trip.
