| replacement microswitch for 3029-type Pressure Switch |
What is an appropriate replacement for the microswitch used on the Tecmark 3029 Pressure Switch? This is the second spa I've found a "toasted" switch on, it easily unscrews from the metal "bellows" body and the pressure shaft (plunger/activator) on the "bellows" body works just fine. I know its a fairly simple SPST, Normally Open, Momentary Switch and my experience with similar switches in other applications is that the spring mechanism in the switch fails long before the actual contacts do. So it seems silly to replace a $25 assembly when a $1-2 switch is at fault.
But I've been unsuccessful in cross referencing the part number anywhere to find a screw-in replacement. The microswitch I removed is AMF/Potter & Brumfield #8319. I find a few similar looking switches on the Tyco website...but they only go up to 16Amp and have various activating forces from 20-200grams. Specs I read for the Tecmark 3029 Pressure Switch is 25Amp at 120VAC.
Is there a generic replacement for just the microswitch? |

My first thought is just replace the entire $25-$35 part. Then again, once you find where to buy those, let me know, we could use a source for 'em. |
