| trouble shooting older hotsprings sovereign |
If the internal breaker/reset switch trips what does that usually mean?
Problem with circulation/ or heating? On a similar model it was usually just a hair clogged intake. On a newer one it was a sign of either a cloogged filter or H2o so low that things werent circulating well.
This particular older hotsprings tub serial number I-302225 has two reset switches on the "control box". Can anyone give me the year from that

If its the circuit breaker on the breaker box, whats that usually mean...a short?
Anyhow, Im looking at a potentially free one and it would be my 3rd project tub. Its not a leaker purportedly. There is a wierd looking 110 heater that appears insulated with some kind of red clay or something.
What the heck, does that seem standard?
Hotsprings parts can really add up. Worst case scenario, put in a complete or partial spa pack from Spa Guts? |

No.
That pack with their name is a hydroquip, with gecko internals. Not recommended unless you up the size of the circulation pump on the spa.
Your problem with those reset switches is either going to be one or the other - flow problem, or age of the switches.
All of those can be found here:

Aside from that, if you have a flow problem, I'd replace the circ pump in a millisecond. |
