| Crack in my Grandee! |
Just discovered a dandy crack in the inside shell wall of a 92 Hotspring Grandee. Tub was recently moved, and is located in a rural area, with no dealers nearby. Can someone tell me what the shell is made of, and how to fix it?
Many thanks. |

To repair them properly you should do it from behind the shell with fiberglass material and devcon epoxy. You can do it from the inside but if you look at it from the outside there are most likely more stress cracks around the other ones that will work their way through the shell at some point.
Is it near the light lens or on the 'step'? |

A 92 is made of Roveltm, and it's likely it's torn. Unless it's cracked or torn in the equip compartment, I wouldn't seal it from the back, I would seal it from the front. DEVCON is great stuff, but be neat. 92 Grandee's were made before Hot Spring had a run of cracked shells with Endurol, the old Rovel was a great product, and re-enforcement from the rear isn't usually necessary with Rovel crack repairs (unless they're on the step, or easily accessible from within the equip compartment) |

What the heck are products you mention!?! Where do I get them?
The crack is big - about 10 inches, and it runs perpendicular, near the filter intake compartment. Part of the crack can be seen from inside the compartment, but I figure I don't have to mend that part.
