| Hot tub install on top of building |
I need help! I have a Nordiac round hot tub outside on the top floor of my building, still under construction. The inspectors came and said I have to much concrete around and I either need to chop off some concrete or do something with the built in nordiac spa. The general contractor wants to build a curve around the spa and have water flowing over the controls and knobs?? The GC also wants to move the controls to the wall and use a remote. Also the spa is sunk into the concrete. If they were to raise the spa it would over look the bay. They have rebar under the spa. Questions I have: 1)can the controls panel and knobs be under water 2)What to put under the spa to raise it 3) if the controls are removed, it voids the warrenty 4) is there a patch kit to cover the hole if the controls are removed, water resistant? Sounds to me like the GC is pinning this on me because it is my spa and it would be a big and expensive job to cut into the concete? Any suggestions? |
