Does anyone know how to decode any of the numbers in a Hot Springs hot tub serial number?

The first one is not right, the second is a 4th quarter '92 Sovereign.

The first letters are the model designation. The first number is the quarter and the second number is the year.

In 1999 they started using letters for the year. Your first serial number should look something like this - IQ3A2245 or IQ3B2245. The first would be 3rd quarter 1999, the second 3rd quarter 2000.

I also have one with a sticker over the serial number sticker it says EMS-40361. What does that mean?

How many spas do you have?
Are you a dealer or a service tech?
It could be a replacement spa or a spa fixed at the factory. It does not mean it is a problem spa.

You have a 2nd. quarter 2009 Envoy. The serial number doesn't give the exact date.

Thanks for writing to Watkins about your new Envoy model Hot Spring spa. Per the serial number you provided, this spa as built in 2009. The way to decipher a Hot Spring spa serial number follows:

KK = Envoy model
2 = built during the 2nd quarter (April – June) of
L = 2009
2 = built in our Vista factory
088 = the 88th Envoy off the production line that quarter
