How to remove sand from hot tub

Hello,

Our hot tub has developed a good amount of sand at the bottom.

When I emptied the tub, I really couldn't see the sand. But, after filling it up, I can really see it again.

How can I remove the sand without emptying the tub? (and without buying a pool floor vacuum)

I'd say read this great review of the Grit-Gitter by, well, me, here: Spa/Covers/Gritgetter-Spa-Vacuum-Review-Stuff_6078.html OK so it might technically BE a vacuum and I realize you said you didn't want to buy one. But this little gadget is hand-held and operated and costs only about $22. So maybe instead just wear a long coat with deep pockets into a spa store and steal it then -- TOTALLY worth the lifetime of internal guilt you'll carry about the theft!!

You're welcome. I really believe the Grit Gitter is low tech with a touch of ingenuity at it's best.
