| Coleman 455 Caribbean Spa Jet & FLO Code Questions |
I recently purchased a Coleman 455 Caribbean Spa made by Maax that was manufactured in 2000 I think. Everything worked fine for a few days and then I had a jet float past me.
I finally figured out that the plastic retainer ring was what had broken. You can see part of one in the pics below. Since then, I have had 3 of these break. I am not sure if this is considered and entire jet or just the nozzle.
Does anyone know what brand these are or where to get replacements from?
The jets that are directional have a different clip than the spinning jets. One appears to have a complete ring, while the other has a half moon shaped clip.
Another problem that just started happening today is the water temperature is not raising and the display is flashing a FLO code alternating with the water temp. When we installed the spa saturday, the water temp was 46 and rose to 94 by sunday evening and never gave a code at all (that I saw). Today the water temp was set to 97 but the water was at 93. The display was also flashing the FLO code.
I double checked the filter and it seems to be seated correctly. The previous owner had just purchased the filter a few months ago and it appeared to still be very clean.
I appreciate any response and help with these situations.

Rule of thumb:
If you move a spa, expect to replace the heater element within 6 months or less. I'd definitely check the element for continuity and voltage.
Your flo error could be caused by yes, the pressure switch, but also by the loss of restrictive water flow caused by the jet(s) coming apart. Jets introduce back pressure which causes the pressure switch to activate. If you have no back pressure, you will have no pressure switch activation. |
