Filter Bypass
On a filter bypass valve how much pressure should be on the spring? I have seen valves from 1/4 pound to as much as 5 pounds. Thank you!

You need to mention the brand/model of your filter, as well as horsepower of the pump and length/size of lines to/from the destination...
If you only have a few jets, then you may not need a bypass. Some filters will already have a bypass valve built in.

The filter is a hayward C500 with a maximum capacity of 70GPM. The pump puts out about 120GPM. The filter is only 3 feet from the pump and the run to the tub is 20 feet. The plumbing is 2 inch. Thanks
