How to Remove Jet Body
I have an Aquatic Industries 6 person hot tub. (I'll pause while everyone collectively says "Who?" One of the jet bodies seems to be leaking a little from the outside. It's not leaking very badly, but you do notice the loss of water. I should also mention that I'm new to the spa world, but am fairly handy at mechanical stuff (technical term).
I assume there is a seal where the body if fastened through the tub and this is what needs to be replaced? I was able to remove the jet that had a little tab which I was able to dislodge inward and pull completely out. Behind that there was a little rubber-like plug that may control flow when turned. Beyond that, I can't seem to figure out how the jet body comes out. I don't see anything I can grab 'hold of to turn it out. I tried prying off the outer ring, but that doesn't seem to be budging. I'm almost to the point of trashing the jet/jet body just to get it out. Any ideas?
Otherwise, I've heard about the marine epoxy's that people use to seal leaks. Would that be a better alternative to taking out the jet, as there probably isn't much pressure at this leak?
